During its month-long crowdfunding campaign, which ended 10 p.m. ET Friday, Pebble Time shattered two Kickstarter records.
It broke its first record on its first day, when it became the fastest project to raise $1 million — in 49 minutes. A week later, it became the most-funded campaign in Kickstarter’s history after receiving more than $13.3 million in pledges, besting Coolest Cooler, the previous record holder.

Fleetwood’s been a member of the ModDog stampede since January of this year, making once-a-week appearances to keep her owner and personal chauffeur, Editorial Manager Rebecca, sane. Occupying a sweet apartment with more dog beds than floor space just south of San Francisco, Fleet hops a ride in Rebecca’s car every Tuesday and enjoys the jaunt into the city (ignoring Rebecca while she groans about her distaste for driving, of course) so she can sprinkle the office with her sloppy-tongued smile and completely distracting tail-banging.
Ah, yes. The tail-banging. It may not be the first thing you notice about this 6-year-old Golden Retriever, but it’s what you’ll remember — especially if you’re in a meeting and she starts knocking her tail aggressively into whatever will provide the loudest echo. And that’s how she got her name, too. “We rescued Fleet from a puppy mill in Taiwan, so she was understandably nervous when we first brought her home,” Rebecca shares. “But even so, she would not stop wagging and banging her tail into this really loud wooden wall. She sounded like a metronome — like a drummer — so we named her Fleetwood.”
Web notifications on GitHub keep you apprised of the latest activity from the repositories you watch within your browser. With the addition of mobile web notifications, now you can stay up to date from your phone.
If you already use web notifications, you’ll see a familiar indicator in the top right of every page whenever you have unread activity.
Use the switcher at the top of the page to filter your notifications. By default we show all your unread activity across the repositories you watch, but filtering to a specific repository—or even just the threads you’re participating in—is just a couple taps away.
When you want to skip a notification, you can always mark it as read. Tap the checkmark on the right of individual notifications and they’re immediately updated. You can also use the link in each repository group’s header to mark multiple notifications as read.

It’s no secret that we’re a little nail art obsessed here at ModCloth, especially when the inspiration comes from our very own clothing. So we asked a handful of skillful bloggers to pick one of our dresses as their muse for a nail art design. Long story short, we were blown away by the quality and detail of their work and couldn’t pick just one favorite.
Check out some of the killer artwork submissions below, then sound off in the comments and let us know which one you like the best.
Okay, so you’ve found a bathing suit that makes you feel like a million bucks. Your sunglasses are 80s-anthem-worthy, and your towel? It’s basically a terry cloth billboard that says, “It’s my pool party, and I’ll look fab if I want to.” You’re set for a stylish swim, but for one last to-do. Your ‘do! Longer-locked ladies understand the struggle — you do one underwater handstand, come up for air, and bam. Your hair is twisted and slapped in all different directions against your head. Seriously. Mermaid movies have painted a vastly inaccurate picture of the realities of post-swim hair. Sure, you could rock a pony, or tuck those tresses back into a cute ‘n’ quirky swim cap to keep ‘em under control, but if you’re really looking to make a splash, give one of these styles a try! Not only are these looks super simple to execute, they also stay put and pretty in and out of the pool. What are you waiting for? Dive right in!
Pretty Half Pony
Let your hair down and brush through any pesky knots. Run your thumbs from your temples to the back of your head, gathering the top section of your hair into a gentle ponytail. Secure this section with an elastic, and let the ponytail you’ve just made blend back in with the rest of your tresses.
The Louis Vuitton monogram has been making a resurgence of late, with the likes of Beyoncé, Reese Witherspoon, and Rihanna toting new iterations of the classic motif, including the much-coveted Frank Gehry sculptural box bag. Spotted in Los Angeles at a screening for her latest film Unbroken yesterday, Angelina Jolie embraced the idea of winter white from head to toe, but it was her Christian Louboutin x Louis Vuitton purse—a sporty update on the structured lady bag—that stole the spotlight. Given that there were so many show-stopping accessories on the runway for spring 2015, the next generation of It bags is set to multiply.
Walk into a fashion party, spot a dude in a gray sweatshirt, ask who made it…chances are his response won’t be “Hanes.” Since the dawn of fashion week, menswear designers have retooled the classics, from the sweatshirt to dark-wash jeans, aiming to perfect those timeless staples without any teleological end in sight.
That said, the brands doing it best today are infusing the tried-and-true with something extra. Shop menswear’s new classics in the slideshow.
What if you didn’t have to wait until you were in your mid-sixties to retire? What about 50, or even just as you hit your 40th birthday? Don’t laugh — with enough dedication, you could say goodbye to your full-time job years sooner than you think.
“We all dream of retiring early with a fantastic pension and no money worries,” said Victoria Lewis, a financial adviser with the Spectrum IFA Group in Paris, France. You just have to put the right plan in place.
